For casual dining Stripped is the place to be. Ventnor's beachside vibe stretches throughout the town all year around, and Stripped is there to bring you the best in enjoyable, chilled-out eating.
Pizza, burgers and fries are always on the menu, and there are specials and new dishes to explore too. The little touches that have made Cantina famous are also found in Stripped - a few Asian influences, some seafood, and a strong Italian feel to some of the dishes. It's all made in Ventnor using many local ingredients. Vegan and vegetarian food is something Stripped does well; and gluten-free options are available at all times.
Stripped is the latest project from Ventnor's most celebrated German: businessman and baker Klaus Kuhnke. Klaus is the chef-proprietor of nearby Cantina, and decided to take the success of Cantina and extend it to a different venue with new and exciting possibilities.
Stripped is located in the former Midland Bank, later HSBC. This impressive and historic feature of Ventnor's High Street was vacated by the bank in 2015, and required a little work to make it suitable for use as a restaurant. The interesting features of the former bank have not all been swept away though - you may see some elements of the previous building when you visit.
